About the event
Calling all Compost Club Members (you are automatically a Club member by volunteering)!
Help us build 3 Johnson-Su Bioreactors.
What is a Johnson-Su Bioreactor? In short, it is a finely tuned static pile that stays moist and aerobic, producing beneficial microbes. We fill it with predominantly high carbon material (woodchips and leaves), so the final product is fungal-rich.
We will be using the same feedstock for all 3 piles, but modifying one ingredient (the high N). This will help inform future recipes. --- A learning opportunity for everyone!
Drop in, help out, take home some compost or compost extract/tea.
This event is FREE!! Registration is not required, but a heads-up if you are coming would be appreciated so I can have enough supplies ready.
